late night thoughts.

Change is a very interesting yet beautiful thing.
I’m slowly beginning to understand that it is necessary.
I cannot control everything in my life, and that’s okay,
as long as my heart is pure and my mind is open.
Happiness is key.
Failing is all right too, as long as you remember to keep trying and don’t let it keep you down.
Bad times are inevitable but if you take a step back and a couple deep breaths,
it’s usually not as bad as it seems.
I have a sneaky feeling if you look really hard; you can and will find the beauty in everything.
Don’t let people hold you down or hold you back.
Break Free from the pack, run solo and find yourself.
Get out of the city and find what it means to be one with mother earth.
See the wondrous sites that God made for us to discover.
Call your Dad and your Mom, often.
They miss you more than you think and have just as hard of a time with growing up as you do.
Don’t forget to smile; there is so much to smile about.

Most importantly however, do not forget to love.
Love to the point where it hurts, and it will.
But it’s a good hurt.
It’ll build you up and break you down,
but you will grow and learn and become a stronger person.
Allowing yourself to be vulnerable to another,
I believe,
is one of the most beautiful and greatest things
we as humans can accomplish during our lifetime.

Try not to worry about it too much, someday it will all make perfect sense.

A Christmas Carol

Saturday afternoon I had the delightful experience of attending "A Christmas Carol"
with my roommate, Devon, and her family.
The musical was at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.
It was phenomenal & really struck my emotions.
as our friend Scrooge learned in the play
happiness > wealth

For those who haven't been to the Guthrie I highly recommend it.
It over looks the Mississippi right near the Stone Arch Bridge.
One of my favorite locations in Minneapolis.
The infamous Yellow Room on the 9th floor gives off a beautiful of the city.

I love the Holidays and cannot wait to see my family & home friends soon!
