Sometimes in this crazy life,
things don't turn out exactly how you'd think or what you want.
Lately, I've been forgetting all the important lessons I learned in New Zealand.
I've taken a look back on my other blog from that journey
and decided this post might be worth repeating.
It may not be useful for anyone other than myself,
but it's just something I need to remind myself.
Maybe some others need reminding as well.
"April 13, 2011- It is a bittersweet thought, to think about how precious moments are in life.
Every moment, everything you do only happens once and after it is gone you never get it
back. You can try to re-create moments and events but they will never be the same and I
think that’s what makes life so beautiful.
Before I left I received a letter from someone very close to me. They wrote,
“I urge you to do one thing that scares you everyday.” That has stuck with
me throughout this journey. At first it seemed obvious and easy because
I was scared of being away from everyone but now, I am re-evaluating
and re-thinking about what they meant. Take chances, don’t hold back,
take in everything and completely consume yourself with the situation
you are in. You only live it once. I encourage everyone to take his advice
and make the most of life."
