Autumn Thoughts.

Happy Autumn!

The beautiful, colorful trees, the fell of the brisk air against your face, the way the sun shines, the - everything about fall excites and comforts me. I don't know if it's just me, but each year autumn feels like a fresh start. Which is actually weird if you think about it because everything is technically dying..

Anyway, yes, a fresh start in the middle of the calendar year. Weird isn't it? Autumn; A new beginning. A new chapter in life. A fresh page in your book. Kids are heading to school for another year. Classes at the dance studio are starting back up. The energy is exciting and fresh. I love it!

This autumn for a new change I am looking at my life and ridding everything that brings me down. Of course, it is important to maintain balance you have to have some crappy days to appreciate the good but for the most part it’s way more enjoyable to live in a constant state of happiness. It has taken me quite sometime to come to this conclusion, which, seems like a simple solution, duh, but bear with me. I’m just trying to figure this life out as I go.

Although we may not always believe it, we have the power to make ourselves happy. Yes, that's right. WE can make OURSELVES happy. Not with what we buy for ourselves, but for truly being happy in the moment. This moment, right here, right now. BE HAPPY! We do not need to depend on someone else for our happiness.

Being sad about another person is sure to happen in our lives. But there should be a time frame for the amount of grieving time we are allowed. One year, yes, 365 days is much too long to feel sorry for yourself. Jump right back up on that happy train and start living your life. Remember, for every sixty seconds you spend sad or upset- that’s one minute of happiness you can never get back. Find those little things each day that keep you going. Fully devote yourself to the things you love, I promise you’ll never feel like you are working at it.

I encourage you to look at your life, pick out the weeds that are bringing you down and surround yourself with the people, places and things that help you grow. Don’t be afraid to hit that reset button. It’s your life after all, live it exactly as YOU want to.
